USPS Unveils Cary Grant Stamp

A luminous portrait of leading man Cary Grant will grace a 37¢ stamp to be issued in his honor on Oct. 15 in Los Angeles, Calif.

Images of the design and the full pane of stamps - which features a selvege image of Grant being chased by an airplane, a scene from the notorius thriller 'North by Northwest' - were unveiled July 15 on the entertainment news program 'Access Hollywood.'

Artist Michael Deas, whose work has previously graced Legends of Hollywood stamps for Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Humphrey Bogat as well as Literary Arts commemoratives honoring Thomas Wolfe, Tennesse Williams, F. Scott Fitzgerland, Thornton Wilder and Stephen Vincent Benet, illustrated the stamp.
